This weekend I was doing a few searches on my phone, as more and more of us are and I was disappointed to find that so many local businesses, especially restaurants do not have mobile ready web sites. I’ve been trying out a great service from Mobstac that easily and near effortlessly converts your web site to a mobile web site, there are many services like this.
Restaurant owners, clothing shops managers, barber shop chair renters – ensure your web site – at least the basics – are mobile ready.
There is no reason why one of your potential or actual customers can’t be in a parking lot, looking for your service and not be able to clearly see where you are, the times you are open and what they provide, all on their mobile phone.
Doing a Google or Bing search on mobile web site builder you’ll come up with a long list of options.
Your web host might also give you some free tools to build a mobile version of your web site. Take advantage of these offerings.
901am.com cites a Pew Research Study who says more than 50% of the people who shopped in the 2011 Holiday shopping season, shopped for products on their cell phones. They write:
A study recently conducted by the Pew Research Center’s Internet and American Life Project shows that more than fifty percent of people who shopped during the 2011 holiday season used their mobile phones to do research on various products before committing to buy them.
