MySocialCloud.com is a new technology start-up (currently in the beta phase) which runs on the cloud technology and offers its users an easier way to manage and organize their online experience; while also allowing them to discover, share, and store content from all over the web.
MySocialCloud gives you the ability to store all your usernames and passwords on their cloud network. Once you sign up, you can connect your social networks like Facebook and Twitter and grab all the news feeds and tweets onto your dashboard and comment, like, share, re-tweet or reply directly!
The usage of the site is very simple and easy to understand. All you need to do is click the “Cloud it” button which you can easily drag and save to your page bookmarks on any browser.
For sites other than Facebook and Twitter, all you need to do is visit the website, click the Cloud it button and it will ask you once for your user credentials. Bam! Next time you want to log in to that site, you just need to click the Cloud it button and it will automatically recognize the site, fill in the username and password field for you and you’re good to log in.
If you like a link or a video that was shared by one of your peers, you can bookmark it to view later or add it to one of your lists of your favorites. Your lists can be private, specific or public, based on your own personal choice.
As mentioned in the beginning, you will need the Cloud it button to bookmark sites on to your MySocialCloud account for sharing or later viewing. Once you click the Cloud it button on any site that you like, it will automatically pop-up a window which can be used to add the site to a list.
The favorites page holds all your favorite and most regularly visited sites. So you don’t need to keep a track of your most visited sites or the ones your liked, just add them to MySocialCloud’s favorites page and enjoy!
The community page contains the list of your friends currently using MySocialCloud. You can view their public lists, see what they like or would want you to view.
As far as security is concerned, the site is VeriSign Trusted; the site always runs on a secure HTTPS protocol.
Their contact section is worth praising as they are currently offering a live chat and offline message facility; which is quite commendable for a site offering free services.
So my final verdict for MySocialCloud is that it’s a good concept and it runs well. I haven’t encountered any errors as yet, so I would say give it a try. It may become your next virtual hangout spot!
