New Software Improves the Quality of Your Scans Without Breaking Your Budget

Document scanning has become an accepted part of doing business. Gone are the days of large file rooms full of documents. If you work in an industry that processes paper documents that must be stored, you need an electronic way to store those documents.

While high-quality scanners are easy to come by, maintaining the integrity of the original document can be challenging. Photoshop can be expensive and time-consuming, especially if your small business is processing large numbers of documents each day. What your business needs is an easy-to-use, inexpensive way to clean up your scanned documents in order to store them safely on your server.

Enter NovoImage+. With a price of less than $300, this document editing software automatically enhances each of your scanned images, regardless of the device the document originated from. While many document editing software solutions are tied to a specific type of hardware, NovoImage+ works on the image itself.

“NovoImage+ is important to small companies in the relative ease it affords in capturing data,”  says Tim Dubes, NovoDynamics’ Vice President of Marketing, “For a small company, processing 500 documents can be a significant effort.  Also important is the accuracy it provides – accuracy is essential no matter how many documents are processed.  SMBs can least afford the time to manually correct mis-captured data.”

NovoImage+ also increases the accuracy of optical character recognition (OCR). For small businesses tired of pulling documents into Microsoft Word, only to waste another half hour correcting all the mistakes, this can be a real cost savings. Your staff will also find that NovoImage+ improves the accuracy of scans, resulting in less time spent going over every single scan that comes through.

Image capture is a hot topic in today’s business world. Everything from personal checks to birth certificates are now being scanned and stored on servers, where they can be backed up and restored if disaster should occur.

In addition to making sure your paperwork stays safely stored on a server, image capture also frees up office space. Imagine the wasted money spent in years past on paying for leased office space for giant file rooms. Thanks to the ability to scan documents and store them electronically, offices can now become leaner, with all leased office space housing workers instead of file cabinets.

But this electronic storage has created a need for devices to scan paper files in a speedy, efficient manner. While the scanner can do much of the work, personnel are required to input the documents and verify them once they’ve been scanned. Verifying each file can be time-consuming, but efficient software like NovoImage+ can improve accuracy, freeing up those employees for other tasks.

Additionally, NovoImage+ automatically cleans up the quality of scanned documents, reducing the number of required rescans and thereby improving efficiency. This automates a process that can be both grueling and costly for your company, as you pay employees to do nothing but scan and verify all day. But making the process more efficient, you may be able to reduce your scanning workers to part-time, freeing them up for other tasks.
