Absolutely. If you send a potential investor access to a room of information and a confidentiality agreement for example, you would know if they clicked on the link from your email, if they looked at the room with the information and if they downloaded the document you sent them. This information is tracked and time stamped for very thorough reporting.
Q: And the benefit to the client is that it acts as a web portal. They simply login and access all docs in one place.
Yes. It’s all one big web portal. Everyone, both internal and external can login from the same place. Typically it’s built into their current site. You simply provide login information and they can access whatever they’ve been provided access to. Clients would login and see the projects they are working on with you or their investment reports with you or whatever the company happens to be sharing with them.
Q: So, Fippex will replace existing CRM solutions?
Yes. Depending on the industry and which functions they are leveraging or focused on, we tend to replace one or several technologies. In financial services, we are generally replacing a CRM and a data room solution. Often we are often their first step into moving to electronic statements as well. Often we will replace or continue to work in conjunction with file sharing services.
Q: Are you competing with applications like Dropbox or something more geared toward sales professionals specifically, like Salesforce?
On the CRM side, we are often taking them off a ACT database, Salesforce, Highrise, and other simple contact management systems. On the dataroom and project management side, Intralinks, Bounds, Basecamp, etc. And then we often replace or work in conjunction with the Dropbox, Box, Sharepoint and internal share drives.
