Now this is a “first”.
Small business owners can now go to their local OfficeMax and get their website done – domain names, website building and SEO – while they shop for pens, calculators and folders in Office Max. These services are provided through GoDaddy.
While I think growing businesses should hire a web developer to create their website (to hire for expertise), and still others will build their own web sites through DIY services, others will want hands on, personal help.
This deal ensure they can get that help from an associate in OfficeMax, through GoDaddy.
While billions of dollars of transactions go through online stores – especially Amazon.com – the local retail shopping experience is strong. I often visit my local office supply store (which happens to be Staples) once or twice a month. Since so many local stores have printing services, it looks like a perfect synergy to also have web site building tools within the store. Small business owners do leave their houses and shop in local stores.
The press release reads:
There are no monthly service fees; one-year service bundles range from simple domain and website authentication to hosting an online store. Trained OfficeMax store associates are available on-site to help each business select the Go Daddy website bundle that best meets their needs.
