CBS Radio Exec and RamonThe space for local marketing is heating up – in fact it’s boiling. There’s local marketing consultants and agencies who are vying to help small businesses use Yelp, Foursquare, Google Local, Facebook and every other local marketing venue available.

Then you have companies such as ReachLocal, Local Vox, Yext and Yodle who have platforms that help small businesses do a variety of local marketing.

Finally, you have companies such as Infusionsoft (my employer), Constant Contact, Hubspot, Nimble, Batchbook, Zoho and many others who have services which help small businesses with CRM, including content marketing and more!

CBS Makeover Contest

Into this mix, more aggressively in recent days, is CBS Local Media. CBS Local helps businesses advertise on CBS properties – which includes local radio advertising, web sites and other elements. CBS has a very powerful foot print and for local companies wanting local business – this “new entrant” into the market can help them get visitors into their doors, or get the phones ringing.
