Ready To Buy Online Advertising from Amazon? Google Adwords Has More Competition

Amazon is the biggest retailer in the world. However, it’s not the biggest advertising platform and wants to change that.

As reported by the Wall Street Journal¬† is seeking to expand its own online advertising platform. First it will start by serving it’s own ads on, but industry observers expect that to grow to include 3rd party web sites as well.

Right now MOST advertisers use Google Adwords to place text, video or images on other web sites. However, in the future, expect to start serving those advertisements.

This is NOT going to happen overnight – but moves fast, has lots of money and the technical skill to make it happen.

If you’re a retailer it’s wise to keep your eye on what is up to.
