Oracle has launched the beta version of Oracle Code Assist, its AI-powered programming assistant. The beta is now available through the Oracle Beta Program. The new beta version is designed to optimize Java development.
It helps developers build new Java applications and update legacy applications for improved performance and security. Oracle plans to release optimization features for NetSuite SuiteScript within the next year. These features are aimed at building extensions and customizations using NetSuite’s native scripting language.
Oracle Code Assist enhances Java development
Developers can integrate Oracle Code Assist as a plugin for JetBrains’ IntelliJ IDEA Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The tool offers suggestions to aid in building applications across multiple modern programming languages.
Oracle also announced new features for its OCI Kubernetes Engine (OKE). These features are intended to simplify the deployment and management of AI workloads and cloud-native applications on OCI. Key enhancements include support for Ubuntu Linux images, container security features, logging analytics for OKE workloads, and cluster node health checks.
These enhancements help developers by identifying security problems down to the container level and ensuring that worker nodes are healthy and updated. For more information and updates, developers can access Oracle Code Assist through the Oracle Beta Program.
