The SAM Ore, also known as Strange Alien Metal Ore, is a rare resource in Satisfactory 1.0. It is used to craft the Reanimated SAM item, which is essential for creating Portals and Convertors in the game. There are 19 SAM Ore nodes in total across the game’s map. Ten of these nodes are Impure, six are Normal, and three are Pure.
The Pure nodes offer the highest yield of SAM Ores. The three Pure SAM Ore nodes are located in the northern and middle parts of the map. These nodes provide the most efficient way to collect SAM Ores.
The six Normal SAM Ore nodes are situated in various locations on the map. They offer a moderate yield of SAM Ores.
Where to find pure nodes
The ten Impure SAM Ore nodes are spread across the map. Although they are not the most efficient way to gather SAM Ores quickly, they can still be collected if you are nearby. To craft a single Reanimated SAM, you need four SAM Ores.
This can be done at an automated Constructor or a manual Crafting Bench. Once you reach Tier 9 Milestones, you can use the Reanimated SAM to craft Portals and Convertors. Portals allow you to build two linked Portals anywhere on the map for free travel between them.
Convertors enable you to craft items using different ores, creating alternative crafting paths. By understanding the locations and uses of SAM Ores, you can efficiently progress in Satisfactory 1.0 and unlock advanced crafting options.
